THE PROBLEM

West View is a progressive property development company, focusing on social, walk-able developments, looking to set itself apart from the other big developers. The brand has core values of community, environmentalism and co-operation, and it is important that they create more than a brand but a sense of community and cooperation. It was important that the brand comes off as trustworthy and professional, while also feeling more personable than the corporate competition.

THE SOLUTION

In order to meet the brand ideals of community and cooperation, we opted for a minimal yet vintage feeling brand identity, using the comforting rounded slab serif typeface, Roca bold, and a natural colour palette of greens and whites. The vintage feel is meant to hearkening back to a sense of community spirit often lost in modern suburban environments. Something the client was interested in was using the brand for merchandise, so the logo had to to be versatile, had to be versatile enough to fit this as well as fitting for the business essential stationary and signage.
