Tuborg Y2play

what we did:
  1. Branding

  2. Graphic Design

  3. Web Design

THE PROBLEM

This project was our submission to the 2026 D&AD New Blood competition For this brief the Danish brewery Tuborg was looking for a way to use their brand as a vehicle for encouraging young adults to put aside the pressures of life, and take the time to relax and enjoy themselves. The core of this project was to re-imagine the brand as something bold and different, while still keeping with the Tuborg vibe.

A bar top with the Tuborg Y2Play can and bottle sat next to each other.
A tablet with the Tuborg y2Play brand guidelines including the brands logos, text, colours, symbols and can.

THE SOLUTION

Our solution was to create Tuborg Y2play, a limited time rebrand, marketing campaign and  all access Barcade experience. We wanted to encourage disconnecting from the pressures of the modern world, so we took the Tuborg brand and reimagined it in a nostalgic y2k aesthetic. To tie in with the goals of the campaign, our final design focused heavily on the theme of retro gaming and alongside the packaging, social + poster campaign and website design, we mocked up visualisers for a barcade experience that offered a totally unique experience.
