Kennedy Whiskey

what we did:
  1. Branding

  2. Graphic Design

  3. Packaging Design

  4. Web Design

THE PROBLEM

Based out of Dunure Ayrshire, Kennedy Whiskey needed a visual identity, packaging designs and a prototype of a website for the launch for their new distillery. The brand wanted something that tied into the roots of the area, while still feeling modern and fresh in the whiskey market. As well as their 4 base flavours, they also wanted a specialty bottle design for their 18 year batch.

a straight on shot of the labyrinth 18 bottle in front of an orange and black gradient background.
A grid of 4 bottles sat next to their tubes. The 4 bottles are, blue; Labyrinth original - top left, Red; harbourside fire – top right, Green; Clan apple – bottom left, light blue; prohibition rye – bottom right.
A tablet on a wooden table featuring a kennedy whisky brand guidelines, which includes the logos, text colours and symbols.
A laptop on wooden slats, with a the kennedy whisky home page on it, featuring a scottish landscape and the text Kennedy whisky.

THE SOLUTION

The shape of the logo was taken from melding the Dunure Labyrinth, a local landmark, with the shape and hoops of a whiskey barrel. The navy and bronze colours of the core brand, reflect the traditional luxury of the brand. The website reflects the history, proudly featuring the Dunure landscape on the front of the home page, as well as featuring a section dedicated to the history of the region.
